Pastoral Echoes: Sibelius and Dvořák

​Concertmaster Peter Sirotin will join the group as our soloist performing one of the greatest concertos in the violin repertoire, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. The concert will open with a short tone poem by Sibelius, Valse Triste. The orchestra will finish the second half with one of the lesser-known symphonies by Dvořák, his 5th Symphony. This work emotes pastoral scenes and the beauty of nature. A fitting way to celebrate spring!
